OUR STORY
3 Generation Family Farm
Beginning in 2009, we had a vision for our farm. A nice amount of property, a few chickens roaming, maybe some ducks and goats, one day. Little did we know that our farm's dark history would play an important part in its development...and in our journey

Our farm was not always a farm.
In the 1940's this property was called the Raven-Peerless
Mine.

There were many deep mines, shafts and a strip job which aided in the removal of coal, West Virginia's gift to the energy sector. It was during this mine operation history that 7 deaths occurred. Roof collapses, mine explosions and one worker getting trapped between loaded coal cars. Mining and reclaimation on the property officially ended in 2014.
Death #8 was a deer hunter who succumbed to a heart attack, unfortunately. This was in the 1990's.

 OUR DARK HISTORY
Besides 8 deaths on the farm, 2 separate Bigfoot sightings have occurred on our farm. Several seasoned hunters have heard yells/grunts that they cannot explain in the woods.
One sighting was featured in Fireside Folklore of West Virginia series.

We have had repeated visits from one of the old mine workers. We call him Mr Thomas. As of today, there have been 5 people who have "seen" this tall, thin man. He seems curious of us.

Various psychic- mediums have shared with us that we have several entities wandering.
The Preacher/Circuit Rider
The Elemental
The Guardian Dog

Of course, we are skeptical but we are open-minded. We are ALL still learning about the metaphysical and spiritual world, aren't we?

Our FREE RANGE Poultry
Our chickens free range and so do our ducks.
Please be careful when approaching any livestock. Roosters can be temperamental so best beware. We have two roosters who typically stay behind the chicken field fence, rarely hopping over it but there is always a chance.

You can feed the chickens anything but:
*Chicken
(really, please no chicken to the chickens as they may get sick)
* Potatoes
* Guacamole
*Apples with seeds in them
(apple slices are fine, just no seeds)

**DO NOT ENTER THE COOPS or COOP Buildings.**
Thank you!
